Prof. Marietjie Herselman and Nazeema Esau of Stellenbosch University developed this web-based diet management programme for adults with renal failure. It allows interaction between users, as well as free access to educational material and recipes. From the homepage there is access to the RenalSmart Application which automatically calculates the dietary prescription, meal plan and menus for each patient, based on their medical and clinical information.
